Q- What is Desi Rater?
A- Desi Rater is a Desi hot or not site. You can upload your pics and get them rated by others. Rate other desis' photos & even contact them

Q- Do i have to post my pic in order to become a member?
A- Yes, your photo is required in order for you to sign up. Desi Rater is a Photo rating site, by becoming a member, you agree that you will place a pic of your on site, so other members can rate you.

Q- Do my pics stay on Desi Rater forever?
A- No, you can login to your account and delete your pics any time you want to.

Q- Do you guys sell or trade my contact information, like phone number, email address etc?
A- Under no circumstances whatsoever, Desi Rater will ever trade or sell your contact information.

Q- Rating are not straight arithmetic average, can i ask, whats going on?
A- A large amount of people give "1" ratings to everyone, and therefore a straight average isn't appropriate. The method we use for countering this wave of "1"s is making the overall rating a root meean square. To put it simply, we compute the square root of the averages of the squares of your ratings. A more detailed explanation is available through most major search engines :) A simple example would go something like this: Somebody rates you a 2, somebody else a 10. A 6 ranking would be the result. By using our method, you get a 7,2, by squaring 2, squaring 10, (4 and 100, respectively) and averaging the results, which would give a final result of 52, which, upon extracting the square root, gives 7,2. .

Q- What does "Awaiting Approval" means?
A- When u upload your pic, it has to be manually aproved by Admin, before it can be shown on main page. The time deuration between your upload, and Admin's approval is mentioned as "Awaiting Approval", i.e., your picture is yet to be approved or declined.

Q- My picture is disabled, can i ask why?
A- You must have uploaded a picture not allowed by Desi Rater i.e., your dog's pic, your cat's pic, your brand new tooth brush or something of that nature. Or you might have uploaded an extension, not permitted at Desi Rater. The only picture extensions, Desi Rater allows is: jpg, jpeg & gif. All the rest will be unapproved Or you have borders outside your picture. For example, take a look at this picture:

This picture has white borders. If your picture has borders (of any color) larger than 1pixel in width, that picture will be disabled. Try cropping your pictures down so they are borderless. Also keep in mind, pictures, that are tilted will not be accepted either. You picture shud be in 90 Degree upright angle. It does not matter if your face is upside down in picture or not... but the picture itself should be @ Upright position.

Pictures, that are nude in nature, will not be approved. Dont show your private body parts, (just dont feel like naming them out). Have them covered. Any picture, that shows off those parts, will be declined. This is Photo Rating site, not a pornographic photo gallery....!

Dont upload your passport size photographs, altered background & foreground pics and please dont upload a pic in which only 1% of the whole pics is covered by your body and the rest is all background or your favourite hockey stadium

If none of the above is the case with you, then it must be the size of your picture. Dont upload 1400x1400 px pics , it will not be shown on the site. Try using tools to resize your picture, the perfect tool will be Microsoft image Resizer (MS Power Toys). I love it. You can download it from HERE

Q- My Pic was posted by someone else. What can i do?
A- Go to that pic, and copy the link to me. I will be contacting you and will most probably ask for 2 more pictures that are not posted on Desi Rater, just as a proof that it is really you.
